The 71st Republic Day was celebrated with great pride and patriotism on 26th January 2020. The festivities commenced with the hoisting of the tricolour,by the revered Chief Guest Smt.Jayanthi Raghu, Academic Advisor of VVS-W. The students took pride in glorifying and celebrating the spirit of unity. The street play on the duties of a citizen, the dance performance on patriotic songs and the speeches on the achievers of modern India stole the hearts of everyone. The inspiring speeches on the significance of the occasion by the high school students assured of a brighter future ahead.
The spectacular band display and the power and energy exhibited by youngsters in the karate display, were befitting to the occasion. The Chief Guest in her speech reiterated the significance of upholding the honour, integrity, dignity and uniqueness of our nation.
The entire school campus was resplendent with the feelings of patriotism.
Congratulations to the winners of CBSE Cluster( State Level) Athletics Meet 2019-20

Aarushi Srivastava of Vagdevi Vilas School Varthur, has brought laurels to the school and made us proud by winning Gold Medal in Under 17 Javelin Throw in CBSE Cluster (State Level) VIII Athletics Meet 2019-20 and has been selected for National Level Athletic Meet.
Also, the students of our school, Reddi Sumiran , Disha N Shetty , Sinchana Jeppu and Sreesha Rani Subudhi has won Silver Medal in Under 14 Relay Race.
The events were held from 2nd October to 5th October at Kumadhavathi Residential Central School , Shikaripura.
We wish them numerous more long stretches of accomplishments.
Education should enrich the creative talents, develop scientific attitude towards the challenges of life and prepare the students to think out of box.

EDU VISION ,an exhibition on Science, Mathematics and Humanities was arranged to showcase the ingenious skills of students of class VI- VIII on 11th January 2020. This exhibition augmented the learning experience of the students and boosted their confidence in public speaking.
Sports inculcate the spirit of positive challenges & sportsmanship among the students and prepare them for the life ahead. Sports, games & physical fitness occupy a place of great importance in our curriculum. At Vagdevi Vilas School, Varthur, the students actively involve in the on-field sports activities which offer them the opportunities to gain substantial experience, showcase skills, analyse and evaluate the outcomes and uncover their personal aptitude. Our students are exposed to participation in sports competitions outside the school which encourage them to adopt innovative techniques and develop their ideas and skills.
We feel a great sense of pride and achievement to share that Kum. Aarushi Srivastava has added yet another feather in the cap of our school’s achievements and sports accolades. She has bagged Silver Medal in Javelin Throw National Finals conducted by the Reliance Foundation Youth Sports Athletics , 2019-20 held in Mumbai, India.

Students need a motivational boost to excel well in the upcoming examinations.Keeping this in mind,Vagdevi Vilas School, Varthur conducteda motivational workshop on Time management and Self discipline on 20th November 2019.
Shri H A Jayasimha,a well-known life skill trainer and motivational speaker, conducted this workshop for students of Std IX and X.
The goal of this session was to prepare students for examinations & future competitions of life. With his relentless energizing words and thoughts,the speaker interacted with the students and shared tips to manage their time efficiently.
Annual Day forms an integral part of school activities. It is an occasion of celebration, felicitation, and festivity when students present not only their wonderful performances but also receive honours for their curricular and co-curricular achievements.
Vagdevi Vilas School-Varthur celebrated its Annual Day – VAGDEVI VARSHIKOTSAVA 2019-20on November 16,2019 with great elation and verve.
The programme commenced with the auspicious lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the distinguished assembly of guests.
The Chairman of VVI ,Sri.K.Harish welcomed the gathering and outlined the vision of the school that aims at imbuing a strong value system in the young aspiring students.
The Principal, Smt. K. LeelaPadma presented the school report accentuating the progress of the school throughout the year. The Chief Guest ,Shri. Arjun DevaiahTheethamada, CEO, Abhimanyu Academy along with the other dignitaries , felicitated the young achievers with prizes and medals.
The spectacular performances by the students was a celebration of culture, art and creativity. In the exuberant atmosphere, one could see the skills and talent of the young students being showcased with aplomb. The exhilarating show was an unforgettable experience and left a lasting impression on the minds of everyone present.
The thematic show, its imagination and organization was the essence of the evening. The venue reverberated with thunderous applause. Gleaming faces exchanged appreciative nods as the audience witnessed the perfection and extravaganza of the show.
Exhibitions conducted in school plays a vital role in igniting the scientific and analytical spirit in the students, increasing their thinking and reasoning power and moulding them for the future life.
‘SYNERGY’– the Science and Mathematics Exhibition of Std I-V was held on 19th October 2019 in Vagdevi Vilas School, Varthur.
The students displayed and demonstrated their models with great confidence and aplomb. The exhibition was greatly appreciated by all the visitors, who were all praises for the hands on and active exploration provided to the students.
