On 24th July 2019, a handwriting workshop was organised in Vagdevi Vilas School, Varthur by Shri. Mallikarjuna Rao , Director of National Handwriting Academy ( NHA ).His expertise lies in three branches of handwriting – Calligraphy, Graphology and Graphotherapy.
By this workshop, the students realized that handwriting reflects the personality of a person and good handwriting boosts one’s self- confidence. It has been a great experience for the students to retro inspect, reflect upon, and amend their handwriting.
Vagdevi Sangeetha Kalamandira is an initiative introduced to hone the innate talents in the budding artists. Sangeetha Kalamandira is an after school hour learning programme for training the interested students in our rich Indian Cultural art forms, which helps in their overall development.
The students at Kalamandira are trained by experts on various disciplines of art like Bharatanatyam, Carnatic Music. Instruments like Violin, Keyboard and Tabla are nurtured from the basics. Yoga and Veda Abhyasa which is a part of Kalamandira not only caters to mental and physical strength, but also deepens their Cultural bond. Special focus is given to improve their mental abilities through Abacus and Vedic math classes. Creativity is enhanced through Art and craft classes.
We believe that it is important to look beyond academics for the overall development of a child. Vagdevi Sangeetha Kalamandira caters to the holistic development of every child!
Snacks are provided at the beginning of the classes and children can avail the evening transport facility at 5.00pm. Special performances by Vagdevi Kalamandira students are arranged on various occasions to boost their competence.

Dear parents, Welcome to the Vagdevi Vilas family. At Vagdevi Vilas, we believe that every human being ( vyakti) has a latent strength (shakti) which is waiting to be realized. A strength which is moving towards perfection.
At Vagdevi Vilas School, Varthur , we have always believed that sports do wonders in the overall personality of the students, helping them to blossom with a sound mind and a sound body. This belief has been rewarded with yet another feather on our cap. KUM. SHREESHA RANI SUBUDHI of our institution, won a bronze medal in the 12th State Level School Olympics Athletic Meet-2019, in 80 m race category , held on 19th July 2019 in Youngsters Sports Club, Koramangala. The School takes pride in her achievement & wishes her success in all her future endeavours.
Vagdevi Vilas School, Varthur always strives to inculcate a sense of responsibility and commitment among the students with their heads held high and ready to shoulder responsibilities as leaders.
With the beginning of the new academic session for the year 2019-20, the Investiture Ceremony was organized on 15 June 2019.
A spirit of unity and dynamism filled the air as all the young students were well prepared to don the mantle of leadership and responsibility while carrying it out with utmost dedication. The newlyelected student council members took the oath and pledged to work earnestly and uphold the honour and glory of the institution. They received their prestigious badges from the Chief Guest Sri. K.Harish, Chairman of Vagdevi Vilas Institutions.
The Head Boy, Head Girl, House Captains, Sports Captain, Yoga Captain , Karate Captain, CCA Captains, Discipline Leaders and the respective Vice-Captains with their regal house flags and majestic logos, stood tall as destiny prepared itself to bring in many more laurels to the institution.
The Chief Guest, Sri. K. Harish, in his speech motivated the students to keep moving forward despite all the obstacles and challenges that life throws in front of them. He said that being a leader is a vital role and wished the new Student Council success in the responsibilities that they would shoulder.
With the flags held high and heads standing tall, the newly elected leaders marched forward with their respective houses and team and all were ready to embark on a new journey.
World Environment Day was celebrated on 18th June’19 in our school campus with great zeal and fervour.
A special assembly was held to mark this occasion, stressing on the measures to be taken towards protecting Mother Earth.
The Parisara Geethe in Kannada, sung by the students of the primary classes, aimed at making the younger generation more sensitive towards environmental protection.
The skit enacted by the students of middle school, showcased the need to conserve our resources and to build a greener world. This thought provoking skit stimulated the awareness about the environment and aimed at enhancing attention and action towards safeguarding it.
Also the students actively participated in making posters on conservation of Mother Nature.
The main objective of observing this day was to bring about a change in attitude towards environment and advocate partnership between each human being and society to ensure a safe future.
Vagdevi Vilas School, Varthur is a platform to blossom and kindle innovative and scientific thinking among the students.
Recently, the students of class IX have been guided and mentored to take part in “LAKE 2018: Conference on Conservation and Sustainable Management of Riverine Ecosystems” organized by Indian Institute of Science .Bangalore.
Our students have made the school proud by securing the Second Place for their paper presentation on WATER FLOW SYSTEM, where many schools have participated. B Jithya Vaishnavi, Yasha Sinha,
C Krishna Bharadwaj and R. Chetanaananda of Std.IX have been bestowed with the cash prize and accolades for their unique and innovative project.
