“PLASTIC PLASTIC GO AWAY;WE WANT OUR EARTH TO SWAY”

Vagdevi Vilas School, Varthur celebrated World Environment Day on 8^Th June 2023 (Thursday) by conducting a  special assembly .

The theme for this academic year is “ BEAT PLASTIC POLLUTION.”

The aim behind organizing this programme was to spread awareness about keeping the environment clean and safe from plastic pollution.

 The event started at 9:30 am.  Vice Principal Smt. Renugadevi  presided over the  function.  She emphasized about the importance of protecting the environment. She urged students to be responsible and to do their part to conserve natural resources and beat plastic pollution.

It was followed by a cauldron of cultural activities by the students from standard I to X based on the theme ‘SAVE NATURE FOR FUTURE’, which included Invocation Dance, Speech, Parisara Geethe, Thought provoking repartee, Street play, Green pledge and Vote of thanks.

The celebration helped in creating awareness about the importance of environmental preservation for sustenance.

As a part of our celebration students of Std I-IV planted saplings, students of Std V-X participated in poster making competition, drawing competition and went on a rally calling out slogans to save nature.

The students and staff of Vagdevi Vilas School are committed to protect the environment and putting in their humble efforts in setting a great example for others.
